The rare inflammatory syndrome seen child with coronavirus is frequently being diagnosed with having Kawasaki disease, during which there is critical inflammation of all the blood vessels inside the body, causing limitations of blood flow towards the heart. This disorder can be easily treated with no serious side effects but can become deadly if not treated on time. No potential cause of Kawasaki disease has been discovered, but it is linked with viral and bacterial infections.
Kawasaki diseases can also cause irritation and gastrointestinal symptoms inside a child’s body. As the cause of this infection is unknown to mankind, it is thought that it is usually triggered by an infection that causes immune dysregulation.
First child reported with the inflammatory syndrome

The child was not experiencing any muscle congestion or cough. When tested for flu, the results were negative, but positive test results were seen for COVID-19.
Later on the second day, the child continued to have a fever along with blotchy rashes on the skin. While examining the chest X-ray for the child, a small whitish spot was seen in her middle lobe of the lung for which she was immediately taken into an emergency room.
Due to the special set of symptoms of the patient, the child was diagnosed with Kawasaki disease, for which she was given a high dosage of aspirin and immunoglobulin intravenously as a standard treatment for the disorder. After two weeks under strict observation, the child was discharged as she was not experiencing any respiratory symptoms.
Further research regarding the COVID-19 and its effects on children and potential associated with Kawasaki disease is undergoing to prevent and limit more children from undergoing the same procedure.
