PSL 2020: Fifth Edition is the first to be held completely in Pakistan

Cricket is one of the most popular games in the world, and it has a high following in South Asia. In the Indo-Pak Subcontinent, many prominent countries are located. India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh are all-powerful teams in cricket. Recently, different countries have started their cricket league, where foreign players also participate. Teams represent geographical regions and cities of these countries. India has the Indian Premier League that is part of the Internet Cricket Council’s annual schedule as well. Bangladesh has its Bangladesh Premier League and Pakistan has its Pakistan Super League. Pakistan Super League 2020 has started on February 20, 2020.

It is the fifth edition of Pakistan Super League 2020 and the first edition that is going to be held in Pakistan completely. It is worth to note that the country lacks international cricket on its soil since a terrorist attack on the Sri Lankan team in the late 2000s. Since then, teams have been reluctant to enter the country. Pakistan has taken this league to attract foreign teams to home. For the growing interest of cricket fans, these pages would present stories of different leagues in the world of cricket. As Pakistan Super League 2020 has just started so we are going to present its schedule. We will cover other cricket events and leagues as they would start.

PSL 2020 Teams and Venues

In the fifth Pakistan Super League 2020 edition, six teams are playing on four venues. In total, the league would take 32 days to complete starting on February 20. Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Multan are venues that would host 34 matches during the league. The largest number of matches would be played in Lahore that is equal to 14. Karachi would host 9 matches while Rawalpindi and Multan would host 8 and 3 matches, respectively.

  • February 20, 2020: Quetta Gladiators v Islamabad United will be played at National Stadium Karachi at 7 PM local time
  • February 21: Karachi Kings v Peshawar Zalmi will be played at National Stadium, Karachi at 2 PM local time
  • February 21: Lahore Qalandars v Multan Sultans will be played at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore at 7 PM local time
  • February 22: Quetta Gladiators v Peshawar Zalmi will be played at National Stadium, Karachi at 2 PM local time

  • March 22: Final match Pakistan Super League 2020 will be played at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, after the final match ceremony.
