Netflix’s Bridgerton

Phoebe Dynevor was able to buy households around the globe worth 63 million, all thanks to her performance in the British smash series by the over-the-top production company Netflix. Now, she is looking forward to remaining a fixture in another season but has admitted that the filming for the season 2 of Bridgerton would prove to be a challenging task amid the escalating coronavirus pandemic.

Before getting her big role in the Netflix series, she was working in various television programs on and off for the past decade. Phoebe Dynevor did not go to any drama schools and learned the skills herself.

During an interview, the main actress has acknowledged that her casting role has come to an enjoyable conclusion at the episode finale for the season 1 of Bridgerton and her lustful romance with her lover Simon Basset, played by Rege-Jean Page has played over the course of the entire series comprising of eight episodes.

Netflix’s production and Shonda Rhimes produced Bridgerton, is actually based on a series of the novel written by Julia Quinn. In the second book, the spotlight has shifted from Daphne towards her brother who is older than her, Anthony Bridgerton, but Phoebe Dynevor believes that there is still scope for the storyline for season 1 could be flipped on its head.

In the written story, Anthony spends most of his daily life meddling in his sister’s affairs and annoying her, without giving much-needed attention towards his own romantic relationships. In the future seasons, Dynevor would like to see their roles of both siblings to be reversed as compared to the novels.

The second season for Bridgerton is yet to be confirmed but is expected to be announced soon by Netflix. For now, Phoebe Dynevor is in the dark. She stated during a Zoom video call that she genuinely does not have any idea regarding the second season for Bridgerton, but if the directors are following the storyline from the novel series then there would be another season which would follow the life of Anthony Bridgerton. She also included that season 2 would also involve Daphne, but she is excited to find her role in a new light.

 Filming amid coronavirus pandemic

The filming for the first season of Bridgerton was wrapped up in the month of February last year, just a few days before every production was enforced to be abandoned due to the coronavirus pandemic before it reached the United Kingdom. Phoebe Dynevor remembers the last few days on the set being chaotic and a crazy time, during which the main topic of discussion was the rapidly transmitting deadly viral COVID-19 infection. She also said that the production team barely managed to finish the shooting for the series on time, and the experience has been an amazing time.

Bridgerton series, created by Chris Van Dusen along with Shonda Rhimes as an executive producer for the show, has been a very vast operation that includes shooting which made the entire team tour around various lavishly styled houses across the United Kingdom, and Phoebe Dynevor could hardly imagine the production of the series to work under the COVID-19 safety regulatory protective measures.

If the show in to continue working amid the coronavirus pandemic with a protective layer against the coronavirus pandemic, it would require multiple changes to be made. The show requires numerous extra castings and crew members, while some scenes of the series are very intimate. The intimate scenes referred by Phoebe Dynevor denoted towards the steamy romantic scenes in Bridgerton, which could not be filmed under preventive measure like social distancing.

Dynevor is baffled to even think regarding the filming for the show before getting the Pfizer BioNTech vaccine beforehand the initiation of Bridgerton season 2. The producers of Bridgerton are more confident, as the current schedule indicated initiation for the filming of season 2 from March this year in the United Kingdom.
